UK Premiere of Consent #7, Aug ’18
Carla Rees (bass-flute) and Sarah Watts (bass-clarinet) give the UK premiere of Consent #7 on Wednesday 1st August at the Rarescale Summer School in Harlaxton Manor, Lincolnshire in England.

Carla Rees is a UK-based low flutes specialist who has developed an international reputation for her innovative work. She is Artistic Director of rarescale.  Sarah Watts is one of the UK’s only specialist bass clarinet soloists. With the intention of increasing its popularity as a solo instrument Sarah has attracted many composers to write new works for her and has given repertoire and composition classes at several music conservatoires in the UK and Ireland.

Originally commissioned by Hanan Hadžajlić, Consent #7  was premiered in Belgrade in 2017 followed by a second performance in Sarajevo in early 2018.
