The first movement from Into the Sea of Waking Dreams for solo piano with optional texts. Composed by Ailís Ní Ríain. Recorded at The Atlantic Center for the Arts, Florida in 2016.

Commissioned by The British Music Collection, Sound and Music, Shape Arts –  as part of a residency at the British Music Collection supported by Unlimited. Introduction to Will it be Easy? One from a series of short-video pieces exploring the open score/graphic scores within the British Music Collection.

In 2015 Ailís was commissioned by The Brontë Parsonage Museum – the home of the Brontë family in West Yorkshire, England – to compose a new suite of pieces especially for the newly restored Brontë family piano. The six compositions – each based on the history of each room in the house – then formed the basis for a series of interlocking compositions which were played as a music installation throughout the Brontë Parsonage for two months.

Altered piano performance developed while on Residency at Yaddo Artist Colony, Saratoga Springs, USA,  2019
