MAKE – Irish Theatre Forum Residency 2018

Ailís was selected to participate in MAKE 2018 as a writer. It took place from 23rd Feb- 4th March 2018 at The Tyrone Guthrie Centre, a centre for creative artists at Annaghmakerrig, Co Monaghan.

Ailís focused on the writing of a new work for theatre in relation to experimenting with form, physicality and visual theatre.

Since the first MAKE in 2009, over 120 Irish and international artists have been MAKE residents, receiving mentoring support from renowned international theatre makers.

Mentors include Ragnheiður Skúladóttir, Managing Director of Iceland Dance Company, and Maiko Yamamoto, Artistic Director of Canada’s Theatre Replacement.

Joining Ragnheiður and Maiko is international electro art star Peaches.

MAKE is an  initiative of Cork Midsummer FestivalDublin Fringe Festival, Project Arts Centre and Theatre Forum.
