‘Chainstitchembroidered’ @ National Concert Hall

defaultThe American classical duo Linda Chatterton (flute) and Matthew McCright (piano) gave the Irish premiere of Chainstitchembroidered (2012), at The Kevin Barry Room at the National Concert Hall of Ireland on 22nd March 2013.  The piece is based on a selection of piano preludes by the writer and composer Anthony Burgess. Here is a review from the London premiere:

“Ailís Ní Ríain had created a fascinating multi-layered piece…a big piano part with substantial piano interludes in this multi-movement work. The whole eventually evaporating in a wistful end. This was a piece which I would have liked to explore more.” Robert Hugill Review
