Dogs in Waiting (1999) was performed hourly by double-bassist Bryan Quigley at The Contemporary Music Centre of Ireland’s Culture Night on 23rd September 2010. Dogs in Waiting is a virtuosic piece for double-bass which mimics the behaviour of dogs who are left outside shops while their owners go inside. It won the Mostly Modern Composition Competition in 1999 in Dublin. See him perform it here.
