Conversations We Wish We'd Had

“I am fascinated by the old fashioned iconic K6 telephone booths. I find them poignant and intriguing. They are stunning in their own special way and I wanted to reflect them, their history, heritage and meaning through a new sound installation – a type of paean to a by-gone era or a time when we mourn for those conversations we never had.”

An electroacoustic sound installation created for the iconic British old-fashioned K6 red telephone box. Commissioned by Manchester Modernist Society for FutureEverything Festival in 2010.

Visitors experienced the piece one by one inside the phone box. The composition contains the memories and regrets of an elderly Oldham lady within an acoustic music composition.
