Sundays@Noon: Up Close With Music.
12 noon on 5th October 2014 at Dublin’s Hugh Lane Gallery. Featuring five works by Irish composers which were commissioned and premiered earlier this year by Concorde including Ailís Ní Ríain’s ‘When I die, you can do what you want’ in collaboration with Bosnian video artist Adela Jusic for solo violin and film. Performed by Elaine Clarke.
Written for solo violin in collaboration with Bosnian video artist Adela Jusic, the piece is a reinterpretation of Bosnian sevdah melodies; together with a visual narrative based on a personal life story the work contemplates the loneliness of the elderly in changing cultures.”
