Beautiful Cracked Eyes – Belfast 30th March 2017
The New York based Irish pianist Isabelle O’ Connell will give another performance of Beautiful Cracked Eyes for solo piano at SARC Belfast on 30th March 2017.

The piece was commissioned in 2008 and premiered at The Purcell Room on the Southbank, London. Its title comes from the poem of the same name by the Irish poet Pat Ingoldsby.

Her programme will include works by living composers including: Kaija Saariaho, George Crumb, Karen Power, Ailís Ní Ríain, and Donnacha Dennehy. These works explore the full range of the piano, including extended techniques and works with electronics.
