Awarded METAL Time & Space Residency May 2015

Ailís has been awarded an Artist’s Time and Space Residency at Chalkwell House, METAL Culture in Southend-on-Sea during May 2015. During her residency at Metal in Southend on Sea, Ailís will focus on the writing and development of new theatre piece which explores the subject of post-war states, focusing primarily on the former Yugoslavia, in particular contemporary Bosnia considering the legacies of war, the motivations of aid-workers and the use of rape as a weapon of war.
